Kwikprint Hot Foil Printing Machinery
The most versatile hot foil
printing systems available - full stop!
With a Kwikprint hot foil printing system it
is easy to foil print and deboss onto a diverse range
of products such as diaries, conference folders, pencils,
ribbons, book matches, paper napkins, leather items
and many more products.
The process of hot foil printing with
a Kwikprint system is quick to learn, does not involve
the use of inks hence is a dry transfer process. Moreover,
foil printing is one of the simplest ways to add an
impressive touch to any item and is amongst the most
profitable printing methods for promotional items.
The process begins with the production
of a printing plate, or the setting of type if only
initials or names are to be printed. Once the die has
been produced, it is placed on the heated print-head
of the machine and brought up to temperature. Using
a combination of heat, pressure and dwell, the design
is transferred from the plate, through the foil and
onto the substrate. The entire printing cycle takes
less than a second per item (excluding the time to locate
and remove the item from the machine).

print without the need to produce printing plates, then

There are few products that do not lend
themselves to being enhanced by hot foil printing, but
the following, although not exhaustive are not suitable:
products made from metal, glass or ceramic substrates.
If you would like to personlise items that are made
from these materials, please consider the Printa
System 990 series pad printer or Printa
System 990 series screen printer. In general,
foil printable products are usually flat in profile,
although it is possible to produce shaped printing plates
and appropriate tooling.

Why choose a Kwikprint
Foil Printing System?
Kwikprint foil printing machines have been manufactured
since 1926 and are amongst one of the oldest and most
reputable foil printing names in the world. Kwikprint
equipment is equally ideal for use in bespoke manufacturing
environments and promotional printing companies.
The entire range comprises
a vertical format design which makes the process of
operation much simpler and more consistent than traditional
platen designed units. With a Kwikprint machine, during
printing the item remains in position on the work platform
and the print head moves backward and forward during
the cycle. On competitor machines, the item moves backwards
and forward during printing which makes for a more unreliable
and difficult printing process.
Kwikprint hot foil printing
machines are the only choice for use with traditional
printing type which is set directly into a tiltable,
self-centering brass type and die holder. On certain
models, the print head is height adjustable up to a
maximum of 12 cm, and the work platform can be adjusted
in both X & Y orientation.
