How To Screen Print...
The Basics Of The Printa 770
Series Screen Printing System
Mastering the operation of the Printa 770 series
screen printer is simplicity itself. The following steps
give a simple and straight forward explanation of how
to use the machine. As you would expect from an industry
leading supplier, a full technical training manual and
video are provided with every Printa 770 screen printing
system to ensure fast and trouble free operation for
both novice and experienced users. A full consumables
supply pack can be supplied with each machine to ensure
immediate use of the Printa system after delivery.
Step 1 - Expose Your Screens
The revolutionary dual-function on-board
exposure system registers both the artwork and the screen
for perfect screen burning every time. Simply fasten
your film positive onto a pre-punched carrier which
is then placed over registration points on the exposure
unit, pull down the screen and expose.

Step 2 - Set Up The Machine
After rinsing and drying the screens, simply
re-insert the tapered registration pins into the screen
clamp and tighten. That is it - registration done! (Screen
drying can be completed inside the integral drying cabinet
of the Printa 770 screen printing system or in a stand
alone environment if preferred).

Step 3 - Print
The Job
The industrial, high quality four or six colour
carousel of the Printa 770 screen printing system requires
no special screen handling which helps to maximise production,
hence profitability. Printing is easy, clean and accurate
- print after print!
Step 4 - Flash
Cure The Print
To maximise production with the Printa
770 screen printing system, we recommend that the flash
cure unit is placed at a dedicated workstation. By doing
this, the operator can continue screen printing whilst
a brief flash cure between colours is carried out. This
is easily done with the on-board curing unit. The curing
unit provides the correct radiant heat and audibly alerts
you when the curing time is complete. This eliminates
guesswork and ensures professional results.
Please note than when printing with a
Printa 770 standard screen printer, the flash cure unit
is mounted integrally to the machine body and curing
can only take place between printing of each colour.
This does slow down the production of the system, but
it is possible to purchase additional workstations for
a standard system which can be used to increase productivity.

Step 5 - Final Cure
Take the garment from the Printa 770 screen
printing system and place it on the conveyor belt of
either the Cure Pro, Omni-Cure or 880 Series tunnel
dryer for final heat curing. When printing with Plastisol
based inks, it should be remembered that unless the
garments are correctly and consistently cured, quality
issues may arise when the items are worn, washed and
ironed.
