ID-Mark example signsID-MARK® is ideal to produce one-off or short run products such as control panels, signs, plaques, rating plates and more. It is a photo-sensitive, water- processed imaging material that represents a true breakthrough in desktop imaging technology. Developed by Metalphoto® an industry leader in durable, high quality imaging products, ID-MARK® is easy to use and able to reproduce very high resolution images on a choice of materials. The most popular materials are aluminium and polyester, but ID-MARK® is also available on reflective and photo- luminescent substrates and allows you to create high quality, custom images in minutes……all without the use of chemicals.

You can use ID-MARK® as a replacement for 3M Dynamark II and Quick Mark® products and realise the benefits of chemical-free, one-step processing. The true beauty of ID-MARK® lies in the convenience, speed, ease of production and high quality imagery for an extensive array of applications.

A choice of three laminates also offer the possibility to give the end product a more customised look if desired. High gloss laminate, matt laminate (non-reflective surface) and polycarbonate finish (high durability with textured finish) options available.

Why use ID-Mark®?

ID-MARK® is quick, simple and highly cost effective for the short run, one-off and proto-typing signage market.

1. Expose

Place film on top of ID-MARK® plate. Expose ID-MARK® plate with a UV light source for between 3 - 5 minutes. The length of the exposure may vary based on the type of exposure device used.

ID-Mark imaging system2. Spray

Place the exposed ID-MARK® plate in plastic tray. Spray the plate with cold water using a spray bottle until plate is completely covered with water. The image will appear. The plate can also be placed directly under running, cold running to wash the unexposed resist away.

ID-Mark imaging system3. Wipe

Take a cotton pad and gently wipe plate to remove excess resist. Make sure pad is wet when wiping plate. When all resist is removed, dry plate with heat gun or blot dry using a paper towel. The entire process takes less than 5 minutes from exposing the artwork and finishing the sign. When using running water, a soft paint pad can also be used to gently assist with the removal of unwanted resist.
