Expos-It Exposure Units For Silk Screen
A premium mid range exposure unit

Exposure units for silk screen come in various formats, but for the serious business the choice must be either a vacuum bed uv exposure unit or a metal halide exposure unit. Choosing a uv exposure unit that uses vacuum to hold your screen and artwork together is the ideal starting point once you make the decision to earn your living from screen printing. After all, the quality of the screens you burn will determine the quality of the final printed product. The Expos-It vacuum bed exposure unit for silk screen printers is a mid range, yet highly cost effective way to expose screens.
In standard specification, the Expos-It exposure unit is a tabletop model, but optional legs are available and this option can be further upgraded to include castors for easy movement. Other options are to mount the Expos-It exposure unit on a handy utility cart, which is ideal storage space for a wide variety of items, which can include coated screens if the unit is purchased with an optional light tight door. To view the utility cart, please see the E1000 uv exposure unit page. The image below illustrates the Expos-It exposure unit mounted on a Dri-Vault screen drying cabinet.
Two gas struts make raising and lowering the lid easy and a rubber blanket provides perfect contact for high quality exposures. Vacuum is drawn through a manifold which ensures there are no holes in the rubber blanket. Electronic ballasts ensure a quick and reliable tube start and a steady uv output. A digital timer controls both tubes and vacuum. Optically clear glass is used which helps to ensure a reliable and controlled exposure.
The optional VRS pin registration system can be integrated with the Exposit range and is an ideal add-on for businesses that want to save setup time at the press, by pre-registering screens with the artwork prior to exposure.
Space saving design
The Vastex Expos-It vacuum bed exposure unit for silk screen can also be installed above the compact ten screen Dri-Vault screen drying cabinet, which makes efficient use of space and also adds greatly to a high productivity level in the pre-press area.

The Expos-It exposure unit can also be supplied in a wide format version which allows either two smaller screens or one wide format screen to be exposed.
